Faux stone is a man-made stone that is produced from molds made from real stones. They are cast in concrete and vary in thickness up to 2-1/2". For any given type of stone there are typically over a hundred molds, and the colors are applied by hand so that each stone is unique.
Veneers run from the ground up to the soffit, which is to say the bottom of the over-hanging roof. We recommend that you plan on starting the veneer from just below the finished grade so that it looks like the walls are built of stone from the ground up.
